Mobile Marketing: Is it Effective?

June 25, 2008 By: Mari Woods Holt Category: Affiliate, Lead Exchange

mobileMobile Advertising

Your phone beeps and notifies you that you have a new text message.  It’s an advertiser’s message about their latest deal they have.
According to a post in Mobile Marketing Watch there is an increased interest in mobile marketing. This is advertising done through a cell phone.  Think about it, who does not have a cell phone these days?  It seems even cellular carries are even receiving a lot of response from advertisers trying to get a piece of this market.
After looking more into this, it appears that there is even some conflict with banner sizes that Google has potentially created, and what the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) has created.  Being a newer form of marketing I am sure there are going to be a lot more “growing pains” amongst the two.
The largest volume of marketing money is still being spent on the internet, however is the mobile marketing industry something that people are getting a taste of and trying to learn more about?
It appears yes it is…..So how about a Leadpile iSaveNow form for this mobile marketing frenzy?

Mortgage Companies and Lead Exchanges…The perfect combination

June 24, 2008 By: Andy J. Category: Lead Exchange, Mortgage Homeowner Leads

According to Bloomberg,  Mortgage applications in the U.S. declined last week, led by a slump in refinancing as borrowing costs surged.  Sales will probably remain depressed as lenders restrict credit, and concern over inflation boosts mortgage rates. The highest mortgage rates in a year may have precipitated the slump in demand. The average rate on a 30 year  fixed-rate loan rose to 6.57, the highest level since June 2007, from 6.24 percent.

So what are Mortgage Companies to do?

They have one of two choices… Go big in a downturn, get small and ride it out, or close their doors.

What does a Lead Marketplace do for Mortgage Companies right now? Do what they have always done…Let the demand drives the lead…simple and easy.

Yahoo will get it right…one way or another

Yahoo is expected to announce the results of a major staff reorg this week. It needs to reassure investors and staff that it can improve its performance and competitiveness.

Last week saw the departure of two exec’s. Yahoo’s shares have fallen in value by more than 20% in the past month, but are still higher than in January – just before Microsoft made its $47.5bn takeover offer.

Here is the deal on Yahoo….It seams like everyone is counting them out….I wouldn’t! They will make the right move, even if ther hand is forced….

Is Yahoo a runaway bride?

lead exchange Is Yahoo a runaway bride?

According to the AP,  Yahoo stock rose out of a free fall Tuesday on reports that the Internet pioneer is reconsidering its recent decision to fall into the arms of online search leader Google Inc. instead of Microsoft Corp. The prospect of Yahoo spurning Google in favor of an alternative deal with Microsoft cheered Wall Street who are still disillusioned with Yahoo’s rejection of a $47.5 billion takeover offer from Microsoft.

For players in LeadGen, watch this closely! When a deal does get done, this will make it even more interesting for the Lead Exchange, its participants, and the way in which it will continue to impact the Lead gen Industry.

Teamwork or No Work

June 24, 2008 By: Marci K. Category: Lead Exchange, Lead Marketplace

TeamworkornoworkTeamwork is something that we cannot get away from. It is everywhere even if we don’t realize it. When we are at home with the family we work as a team with everyone doing their job so that the household runs smoothly. On the road we all drive together (even if some don’t want to) to make sure that traffic gets us to where we need to be.  Working together at our businesses should be just as easy, no matter how large or small that business is.

Most people think of using teams at work as “Bringing people together to get a specific job or project done.” There is more than that going on if you think about it. From the person answering the phones, to the sales person making that sale, to the IT department, without that one person how would your company get through the day? What about the customers how could they suffer? Would you be able to move people around so that the team would survive?

At the Leadpile Lead Exchange it is our goal to make our Partners part of the strongest team in LeadGen. If there is anthing we can every do to make your experience better, our team will see to it!.

Does your Company have Excess leads?? Sell them in a lead exchange…fast simple and easy!

June 24, 2008 By: Mari Woods Holt Category: Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Marketplace

excess

There are a many companies that are bringing in business through their website that they can not work for one reason or another.  If someone has some technical background and desire to run a website(s), they can generate leads for themselves and maybe to sell.  These companies ideally should look to selling these leads in a lead exchange.  Lead exchanges allow companies to bring in various lead types to one common place, and allow various buyers to potentially buy the leads.  This allows the sellers to set up integration on their end to only filter out leads that they did not specify want to keep in house. Lead ExchangePerforming this integration allows a lot more “custom” lead generation to be done instead of doing some other sort of affiliate marketing link on their website.  Monetizing one’s website is a common goal of companies with websites, however possibly some do not know all their options.
So, why a lead exchange and not just sell it to a “standard” lead company?  Lead exchanges, such as Leadpile, allow the sellers to integrate and real time post the leads in the marketplace to sell.  This gives them total control over the leads and maximum exposure.  The integration does the work of filtering out what to keep and what to send off to sell.  If one wants to simply sell the leads to an end user or “standard” lead company, you have to do your homework and try and find the best buyer of the leads.  This requires a lot of work and sometimes take more work than what it is worth.  The company generating the leads could be spending more time taking care of the excess leads, versus providing the service they are in business to do.
If a company is just looking to monetize their website, affiliate marketing has been a traditional way to do that.  One company hosts the other companies links on their website, and they get paid for the leads that are generated from that.  This concept works great, but working with a lead exchange like Leadpile, it allows you total control over all aspects of the lead generation.  Do you want to know all the details down to the number of people that clicked on the form and not just see “complete” leads that you got paid on? Yeah, of course you do!  You want to know as much as you can about the traffic that you are bringing to your website.  Affiliate marketing- great tool, but you will ultimately earn more money with a company like Leadpile.  Excess leads? … send them over to a lead exchange!

Client Feedback Is Important! You speak and people should listen.

lead exchange Client Feedback Is Important! You speak and people should listen.

Client feedback is highly important.  Keeping customers happy is the key to building a long prosperous partnership.  Providing the product or service they most desire will give your company a high retention rate.  Keeping them happy and satisfied with what they need to continue building will be strong points to help your company build as well.

I have learned over time, that listening is the key to providing the right service for your clients.  Both buyers (needing leads) and sellers (making more revenue from their sites) need full attention when you are on the phone.  Selling is not just about the product selling itself.  Its about the product being effective and right for each client needs.

Every publisher and advertiser needs attention and dedication.  When you talk to them, your building trust. When they trust you, they will feel comfortable doing business with you.  This is why its important to ask your clients for feedback! Don’t be scared, talk to your client.

Build a relationship and a strong lucrative partnership with your affiliates and ask them to let you help them by becoming better. Knowing your client’s needs is important for any marketplace.  Being able to provide them with the service is even more important.

All in all, listen to what your advertisers or publishers are searching for, and you will have a successful lead exchange!

The world is really flat – Affiliate Marketing is world wide.

June 23, 2008 By: Eugen Ilie Category: Affiliate, Lead Exchange, Lead Marketplace

The World is Flat - Affiliate MarketingIt’s a pretty amazing world we’re living in!!. Globalization is more real than ever. Everyday. our Lead Exchange is seeing people from all around the globe joining our Marketplace.

They start just by creating an account with us and the next day we see hundreds of leads generated by their websites targeting US traffic.

Thomas L. Friedman, in his book entitled “The World is Flat”, has captured the idea of globalization in a very distinctive way, and now we can see it materialized inside our business.  “The world has been flattened. As a result of the triple convergence, global collaboration and competition — between individuals and individuals, companies and individuals, companies and companies, and companies and customers — have been made cheaper, easier, more friction-free, and more productive for more people from more corners of the earth than at any time in the history of the world.”

The stories you hear from these people are very inspiring, and we are more than proud to be involved in an industry that can create opportunities and give people a chance for a better life, no matter where they are on the globe.

This is a testimonial by one of our publisher who has received rave reviews for their Lead Exchange quality from Thailand:

“I would just like to say, Leadpile.com is the best, I’m more than happy with Leadpile’s lead sellers program. Leadpile’s customer support is excellent and they are always willing to help. As high conversion rate and high payout on selling leads at Leadpile.com, I would recommend Leadpile.com to everyone!”

Nanthawan K.

We thank NK., and all the other thousands of publishers around the world  who have become part of our lives.

Illinois payday lenders

June 23, 2008 By: Mari Woods Holt Category: Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Verticals

Illinois Payday LoansAccording to MSNBC on Friday, one Illinois city is trying to get a grip on payday lenders in it’s city.  One councilwoman is proposing a moratorium on payday loan companies that are setting up shop there.  The number of payday stores in their area have nearly doubled, and they want to put a stop to that.  This city is looking to control the number of stores either by some sort of licensing or zoning to control the number of stores allowed in a particular area.  According to the article, other cities around the country have enacted these sort of regulations.  So is this maybe the beginning of this state trying to outlaw payday loans?  We will see.
Currently, there are certain states that have state specific lending laws for these payday loans. Some states have a limit on the finance charge percentage, amount the consumer can borrow, limits on the fees that a lender can charge, and if payday loans are even legal in that state.

The Leadpile Lead Exchange believes that repsonsible Payday lending is the key to long term success for both the Lenders and the Borrowers. We wish all the best of luck.

Lead Generation and Keywords Tracking

June 21, 2008 By: Eugen Ilie Category: Affiliate, Lead Generation

affiliate marketing Lead Generation and Keywords TrackingHow much are your keywords worth? Being involved in the PPC or SEO, you will be constantly challenged to find the right keywords to use. One way to track which keywords are giving you conversions  is to place a tracking pixel in your confirmation pages. Leadpile has made this process easier than ever before.  For those using the MicroClick Form, Leadpile provides a detailed report that will display the Search Engine and the “Keyword” used by the visitor to find the website. Only the visits that resulted in a transaction are displayed. This report is based on the “referrer” and for that reason, you don’t need to add anything in the tracking URL. Once you take the MicroClick Form and you add it to you page you are done. All the stats are being gathered and displayed for you in the account. A snapshot of one of our Publishers’ report is provided below.

Leadpile Search keywords and conversions

It’s the only time when such tools are made available to the publishers. We believe that the affiliate marketing is changing, and the current publishers are looking for more than just ways of sending traffic to “offers”, they are looking for ways to become part of the lead-gen space.

affiliate marketing Ohio Battleground for Payday....Online lenders battle over Payday Leads in Lead Exchange

According to the AP,  Ohio Attorney General Nancy Hardin Rogers has refused to approve petition language proposed by payday lenders seeking to overturn a law that tightens industry regulations. As I have been writing about for the past two weeks, the Ohio situation could have been avoided by a better compromise up front.

Now it gets bloody. Let’s see who flinches first here. The Payday Industry or the AG.
