Payday Loans In Washington In Question

April 26, 2011 By: Mari Woods Holt Category: Financial, Microlending Leads

It seems that a lot of people in the state of Washington are concerned over the internet lending industry, but my worries are that they are not doing enough research before applying for an online payday loan. Just as in Washington, there are businesses all around the internet that are not legitimate. It is the job of consumers to educate yourself if you are providing your personal information to a website. There are numerous legitimate websites out there (including Leadpile’s) that allow a consumer to securely request a payday loan. If you are a consumer and needing that extra short term cash, do your homework on the website you are filling out your information and make sure you are completing an online form that is secure. If there are issues in WA, there are potentially issues all over the US, but a lot of this lies with the consumers and knowing what you are doing. Knowledge is power for consumers!

Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) recently released their Internet Advertising Revenue Report for the full year 2010. The year saw revenues grow by 15% to $26 billion compared to $22.7 billion in 2009 in the U.S. The industry has seen impressive growth since 2002 with revenues increasing the previous year every year except 2009.

Search advertising accounted for 46% of the revenues in 2010 with display garnering 38% share compared to 35% in 2009. Digital video advertising which is a part of display advertising saw its share increase by 40%. Lead generation accounted for 5% of revenues in 2010.

Another interesting trend is the increasing CPC cost, especially in competitive sectors like Finance. According to Efficient Frontier, CPCs for Finance increased by a whopping 40% in March 2011 compared to March 2010. As the paid search cost continues to rise, more and more companies are turning towards lead marketplaces like LeadPile.com that allows them to select the kind of leads they want and the price they are willing to pay for them. Leads are delivered real-time and the campaigns can be scaled up or down based upon the requirements.

Congress Passes 2011 Budget Bill

April 15, 2011 By: Monica Vo Category: Financial

After months of haggling, the bill to cut $38.5 billion in the 2011 budget was passed. The House voted 260 – 167 with the house following 81 – 19 on the deal.

Programs that will see the largest reductions include the Environmental Protection Agency, which saw a $1.6 billion cut along with the high-speed rail projects, which had a $2.9 billion cut.  Funding for building and repairing federal buildings were cut by $1 billion.

Others affected include funding for community health programs, food aid for poor women and children, emergency first responders and the National Endowment for the Arts.  Measures that would have affected new health-care law and funding for Planned Parenthood of America were dropped.

Both sides agree $4 trillion needs to be cut from the deficit over the next 10 – 12 years. While there is still a lot of disagreement between the two parties as to how to lower the deficit, the 2012 budget plans will likely prove to be an even bigger battle.

Today marks a day in history 50 years ago when the first man , Yuri Gagarin went into space. He spent 108 minutes inside a small capsule orbiting over the earth before again landing back on Soviet land. Gagarin’s launch into space was the start of space exploration globally, leading the path for landing on the moon years later.
