Government Bails Out AIG With $85 Billion!

September 17, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Insurance Leads, Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Marketplace, lead exchanges

I am not sure how you could have missed what is going on with the economy, however each day there is new news. The latest news involves the government bailing out IAG Insurance Company with a 85 billion dollar loan. Last week the government was bailing out Fannie May and Freddie Mac. We are in a position of having to have our government save these mega giants. These bailouts show what kind of situation we are in now, but what could happen next?
The unfortunate side of this is that none of this has caused any major “positive” changes with our housing crisis. However, the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae bailout has allowed rates to go down and maybe have a few more people go out and get a new mortgage loan. The latest news is the possibility of changes with Washington Mutual. Hurricanes, takeovers, bailouts, high gas prices, loss of jobs, foreclosures… is there something good going out there? There has to be! Let’s find the positive.
No matter what happens with the economy, Leadpile Lead Exchange will be right there trying to connect consumers needing services with advertisers that can provide that service to them.

Search Engine Rankings

September 09, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Affiliate Marketing, Auto Lead Exchange, Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Marketplace

A large portion of online advertising is done through search engines. However, getting ranked HIGH on the search engines is every company’s goal. Unfortunately, it is easier said than done to get ranked well.
According to onlineadvertisting.net, there are some facts regarding search engine ranking:

1. 80% of consumers click on the first 3 listing in the search engine listings.
2. 54% of consumers will only look at the first page of results.
3. 19% of consumers actually click through to the 2nd page of results.
4. 10% of consumers got to the third page of search results.

To really be effective you have to be listed well on the major search engines. However, businesses sometimes do not have the resources or money to get there. The key is to do your research. Search engine optimization companies are out there to help businesses understand how to get ranked higher. Unfortunately, like what makes up a credit score….. EVERYTHING that makes up your search engine ranking, is an unknown.
Search engine rankings are a key factor when dealing with lead generation and Leadpile Lead Exchange. The advertisers often times don’t want to deal with SEO (search engine optimization) or PPC (pay per click campaigns), so they turn to a more effective source for potential customers. They turn to Leadpile’s lead sellers. Many of our sellers are experts on getting ranked well on the search engines and other forms of online advertising. We are a common place for both sides to come together.

Safe online experience

August 20, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Lead Exchange

More and more people are doing research on the internet, shopping, and supplying their credit card information online. With shopping and other reasons to supply your credit card information, consumers need to be sure to fully know if they are on a “safe” website. There are a few tips the Associated Press says to utilize in order to have a “safer” online experience.

1. Check and make sure any place you enter your credit card information there is a “lock” on the website, and “httpS” in the browser.

2. Be careful about clicking on links that come to your email, instead manually go to websites that you plan on using a credit card.

3. Look for your browser’s address bar to turn green. This is an indication that the site you’re visiting has paid for and also has passed additional background checks to verify it’s a legitimate business. Also, having the validation Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate is a new feature that also indicates the site is sending your data securely using proper encryption methods.

4. Use a separate email address just for your online shopping and other online activities.

5. If possible, have a separate credit card for your online activities. This will allow you to keep track of everything a little more easily, because everything is on one credit card.

6. Use a credit card, versus a debit card. Recovering lost money from a credit card purchase is much easier than when you use a debit card.

These are all things that I would be conscious of when doing any sort of online activities, which potentially involve money. Leadpile Lead Exchange deals daily with advertisers that are required to put money on account to purchase leads. However, maintaining a safe user experience is what we strive to have every ADVERTISER experience. Precautionary measures such as using Verisign, and having every advertisers go through a verification process, allows Leadpile to provide a “safe” maketplace for our advertisers.

Capturing your target market with local search

August 18, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Auto Lead Exchange, Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Marketplace, Lead Verticals, lead exchanges

In today’s internet savvy world, consumers are going to online search engines to find businesses in their area. Years ago local businesses would advertise in the local newspaper or even post flyers around the town. However, to be successful, businesses are having to maximize their online presence too.
According to DMNews, “80% of an individual’s income is spent within about 50 miles of their home. With 95% of the potential local search advertising market today remaining untouched, this is a huge opportunity for businesses.” Local search traffic is very targeted, however the bottom-line is the advertiser is getting a very targeted customer AND at a cheaper cost.
Since print publications are becoming less and less prevalent, companies must come up with ways to get customers in other ways. Using methods such as local search will allow these companies to find the customers they are looking for. Companies should also be looking at purchasing leads from lead companies such as Leadpile.
Leapile Lead Exchange understands that advertisers are looking for geo-targeted leads. In combination with our publishers, Leadpile is generating nationwide leads that can potentially meet the needs of all sorts of advertisers, in all areas of the country. For this reason, advertisers utilizing companies such as Leadpile, is ideal to increase the company’s ROI.

Advertising In A Lead Exchange!

August 12, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Marketplace, Lead Verticals

Who is still picking up the Sunday Paper?  It has some fascinating stuff like clip off coupons, find an automobile, or look for a job.  Sunday mornings, while I go for breakfast, I see the older generation reading the newspaper. Not so much the younger ones, they choose to have their laptops next to them or their iPhones.

I was reading an article today on www.investopedia.com regarding the yard-sales.  They were explaining how to set up a yard-sale and make some cash. I’m familiar with the advertisements inside a lead exchange, but this was somewhat out of the box thinking.  The article is called “In A Cash Crush? Hold A Yard Sale” by Lisa Smith.  Lisa is explaining how to advertise and how to have a successful Yard Sale by making it unique using Craigslist, or putting colorful bulletins or advertising in the newspaper.

It all comes down to: targeting the audience.  The older generation are not computer savvy, and they are not sitting on their computers as long as the younger generation, so they are better of reading the paper. Than you have some other people that are traveling a lot, they are more targeted by the bulletins. The ones hanging out in the Starbucks, with their computers, or with their web enabled phones, are going to see your ads on the web. The internet is the highest growing method of advertising, and it’s also the most targeted one. Not only that you are able to target exactly the demographics you are looking for, but you are able to track the efficiency of your campaign as never been possible before. You care see where the consumer came from, what ad they clicked on, how long they’ve been reading your page and even how long it took them to finish an online application.

After reading this article, I came to think about advertising to the leads that did not sell in our marketplace. These are mostly aged leads that were left behind because the advertisers met their caps.  They might not be of any interest to the current buyers buying real time leads, but they are a treasure to the companies interested in cherry picking their leads.  LeadPile Lead exchange has an increasing network of publishers and active verticals that is doing business in.  As the Largest Online Lead Marketplace, LeadPile Lead exchange has a good number of valuable leads that can work out for the advertisers that have small budgets, or they want to complement their current inventory of leads.

Testing out different venues of advertising or using aged leads and filtering them by the consumer initial interest, can bring some value to your current business.

Leadpile is working closely with the buyers to increase their ROI, and we are committed to your, the Advertiser, success.

Yahoo implementing opt-out feature

August 12, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Affiliate Marketing, Lead Exchange, Lead Generation

According to DMNews last week, recent correspondence sent out by some lawmakers, internet and broadband companies will be taking a look at the advertising they are doing. For example, internet companies track what websites and other details of what their customers are doing online. This information is then used by the internet companies to provide some targeted advertising. Depending on what websites the customer goes to, the internet companies will send out target ads that they think the consumers will be interested in.
Should internet service providers be able to capture all the websites you visit on a daily basis, and use that information to then target specific advertising? Is this considered going too far in order for them to do their advertising?
Yahoo is now allowing you to make that decision and choose to opt-out of them doing this sort of “information gathering”. Maybe other internet service providers will follow in their foot steps. There has to at some point some guidelines that should be followed in order to have some level or privacy, in this BIG BIG internet world.

Be Careful what you buy! Many Companies opting to buy quality Leads From A Lead Exchange.

August 07, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Marketplace, Lead Verticals, lead exchanges

Publishers are spending a lot of money on PPC campaigns through Google AdWords.  Have you ever researched the cost of producing a real time quality lead? Depending on the vertical, it can get really expensive, especially if you are looking for quality and genuine interest.

Capturing a name, number, email, address, best time to call, can get really expensive. If you want to target geographically, by zip or state, it will increase your price and lower the amount of traffic you are getting. A lead can be really inexpensive, if you are just capturing email address, and you incentivize it, but if you are looking to attract customers that are genuinely interested in your service, its not going to be .20 cents or .50 cents, it will be way more expensive. You can expect prices as these if you are looking for lists, but why would you do that when you have the Yellow Pages and costs you nothing. You can definitely get leads for such a price, but those will be leads that are generated from the yellow pages, or aged data (lists) of consumers that showed an interest in your service years ago.  So what is the price for a good, real time, exclusive leads? It depends, it can be very expensive, depending how competitive is your vertical.  You will get what you are paying for. In other words, you are going to be happy with the return on your investment (ROI).

Advertisers have to consider that publishers or lead exchanges are eating the cost of any leads that are invalid.  Paying anywhere between .25 to $1.50 per click, or even $15, does not guarantee a conversion. Even if we get a conversion, it will not necessarily mean that you, as a buyer, will accept the lead. If you are a Debt Settlement buyer, you might want only want $15,000 and above in Unsecured Debt, which will significantly increase the price to produce that lead.

Lead exchanges welcome advertisers to join the marketplace to HOST their offers. Paying the right price for the lead, working with the lead exchange to optimize your campaign and filter the lead sources, will ensure a successful campaign for you, as a buyer, and for the Lead Exchange and its publishers.

Think of it this way, lets say you need to travel to a different state.  Would you rather rent a bike or a car? By renting a bike, you will save money on gas and get in a better shape ;) If you are concerned about the time you need to get to your destination, this will not work too well for you, and renting a car might be more suited for you. Time is money, and we all know it very well.

bike vs car lead exchange.

Make great choices and you will see more money coming into your business! Buy quality, real time exclusive leads, and you can be assured that Leadpile will be on your side from start to end! Pay the price that they are worth and you will get the satisfaction that you are searching for!

August 07, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Marketplace

You need god quality leads… Leadpile has them! I think most people do not realize the different types of leads that we do generate, and the benefits of a lead exchange.
We are currently generating more than 20 lead types.
Some lead types we are generating:
Payday loan
Auto finance
Debt settlement
Debt consolidation
Credit repair
Refinance
Home purchase
Foreclosure
Security Systems
Bankruptcy
Business Cash Advance
Equipment Leasing
Business Loan
Web Design
Credit Card Processing/merchant account
Health, auto, life and home insurance
Car warranty
Student loan loan/student loan consolidation
Credit Card
Home Based Business

If we don’t have the lead type you were looking for, we are always open to new ideas. JUST ASK!
I read a great statement on the Pontiflex blog, stating something about the fact that online advertising (also lead generation) is like drilling oil… either you hit the oil right away or you move on. The key is to diversify what lead types you are working with, and “hitting oil” is more likely to happen. Take risks as a company, get into new lead types, and create new ideas to change up how you work.
There are many lead companies out there that might just focus on a couple lead types, however Leadpile excels because we have so many lead types to meet so many different demands. One of the things we have learned is that making an effective lead exchange, you need to work with various lead types. Really there is just about any type of advertiser we can work with. We are also able to work with the various types of affiliates that are currently out there.
Think-outside-the-box if you are planning on working with us!
You won’t regret it.

August 05, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Lead Exchange

lead exchange Home Based Business Anyone?I couldn’t count how many home based business exist.  Truly its so diverse that its unbelievable.  Think about it, home based business have been around for ages.  Remember Avon? Most women will.  Yes, that’s a home based business, earning 50% of what is sold.

In this day in age society has expanded to different types of home based business.  From selling cosmetics, to vacation packages, to Tupperware, software, natural products , home improvements, to juices and vitamins and insurance to web development and much, much more.  So many people across the world are taking advantage of their own unique home based business.

Home Based Business is diverse for men and women to make some extra cash.  Believe it or not, many people actually live off the earnings in a MLM.

But part of the catch is the majority of these business needs a down-line to actually see earnings.  You need to sign more people up to be part of your down-line and you also benefit from there sales.  How do you think some of these MLM or HBB consumers actually make it in the day to day life.  Well, think about it, they are not spending gas money so they are saving cash on gas alone.  They are also, setting up there own hours and times that they want to work.  They are responsible for their own advertising.  And best, of all they are getting paid to work from home.

Independent consultants are marketing and spending some of their own revenue to buy leads.  Yes, most Home Based Businesses are using leads to get more people to sign up within their network.  Its an investment that for many have been well work it.  With some extra cash in your pocket and an effective process to pay your bills, is a home based business right for you?

Beijing Olympics 2008

August 05, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Affiliate Marketing, Lead Exchange

In the next few days our world’s top athletes are going to compete for gold medals. Hats off to all the hard work of our fellow Olympians, and for what they are doing for their country!
Advertisers worldwide are also getting ready to see their products showcased in front of more people than probably any other event. Is the money spent on the advertisting worth it?
According to MSNBC yesterday, some advertisers have chosen not to sign up for the next Olympic Games. They feel their might be a “better” place to spend their advertising dollars. The cost (up to almost 900 million dollars) to do advertising with the Olympics is becoming too costly for some companies that are on a tighter budget. Companies have numerous options on how to spend their advertising dollars, however the Olympics might not be the best option for them.
Either way, let’s all support our fellow athletes that have been training for months and months……… no matter what country we are all in! Leadpile wishes all Olympians…..
GOOD LUCK!

LeadPile Lead Exchange Welcomes Business Cash Advance!

July 31, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Lead Exchange

thats hot lead exchangeHot vertical: BUSINESS CASH ADVANCE.  I have advertisers signing up every single day for this lead.  I need more production! The demand for this lead type is on fire.  The payout is great and we have advertisers begging for them.  LeadPile Lead Exchange is growing rapidly with the B2B category.

A business cash advance does have a few industry standards.  The business must accept credit cards.  They have to be in business for at least a year (even though some companies will do 6 months).  They have to accept credit cards volume larger than 5k.

Business Cash Advance companies provide working capital against your credit card receivables.  Based on information from my buyers it takes about 8 months for companies to pay back the advance.  This lead type is explosive.  In the blink of an eye its on demand!

Are other lead gens growing into this lead type as well?  What about aggregators or brokers?  Might be something to talk about over lunch.  With a high payout and a huge appetite on the demand, I’m all for it! Wouldn’t you?

Lead Exchanges VS List Brokers

July 31, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Lead Exchange, Lead Marketplace, lead exchanges

To build your business you must come up with ways to bring in new clients, however each business will have their own “right” way of generating this new business. A few options businesses have is to work with list brokers and to work with lead exchanges.
List brokers are companies that gather data of things such as home owners, consumers information in certain geographic regions, fax numbers, email lists, businesses and many many more. These are lists of people or businesses that meet the specific requirements the business is looking for.
Lead exchanges are a common platform for buyers AND sellers of WEB based leads. These are consumers specifically looking for a particular product or service.

The biggest difference amongst these two sources, of generating business, is the consumer/business is expressing the interest in something. They are “opting in” to receive more information about the particular product or service. Things such as the Do Not Call list do not apply to these consumers that are filling out a request for information. However, list brokers are dealing with general lists and MUST be scrubbed with the Do Not Call Registry. Those that are purchasing lists for various email marketing, SMS marketing, or other advertising purposes need to make sure that they are scrubbing their lists, to prevent any penalties being enforced.

Purchasing leads that are very targeted, real time, exclusive, and consumers/businesses that are WANTING information is probably going to show more success. One is like working a “warm” lead VS a “cold” lead. Why not call someone who wanted your product or service VS trying to add the extra step of trying to hard sell a consumer, and then have to deal with a potential longer sales process?
Leadpile Lead Exchange works with intelligent advertisers who know working with high quality web based leads, produces a higher return on their investment, versus buying lists and making the “cold” calls.
