Lead-gen 2.0 – Leadpile Lead Exchange has got it

September 06, 2008 By: Eugen I. Category: Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Marketplace, Lead Verticals

Leadpile Evolution - Hot Leads

The lead-gen, as many knows it so far, refers to the generation of prospective consumer interest or inquiry into a business’ products or services – generating a lead. The characteristics of lead-gen are changing, and same as the web, it has certain phases, which makes it evolutionary.

In the beginning of 2000, the lead-gen has become more popular in the online channel, and with it, more and more companies started to allocate a certain budget for lead-gen, finding it as a good alternative or addition to their own advertising channels.

A GP Bulhound Research report states that from 2006-2007, the online lead generation market grew 71% YTY. That’s more than twice as fast as the online advertising market.

The growth, it’s of course, determined by the increasing demand for leads, but also the effectiveness and low costs offered by Lead Exchanges compared to the SEM.

The Lead-gen 1.0 is considered as being a fragmented, not scalable, where the pricing for leads and volume needs to be artificially managed in order to create profit.

Leadpile, has started as being a lead generation company, and by knowing the ins and outs of this industry, created a unique Exchange where the price and volume are market driven. The platform has arrived to a mature state, and that’s due to the years of experience and being on the right track from the start. And so, the Lead-gen 2.0 is here. Below you will see certain tools available in the Leadpile Exchange, making it a true Lead Marketplace/Exchange with the technology to be considered Lead-gen 2.0:

1. Real Time leads and Cherry pick leads:

Lead Direct and Self Select - Lead-gen

- the ability to choose between real time delivered leads (Lead Direct) and cherry picking the leads (Self Select)

Lead Direct and Self Select - Lead-gen

When it comes to Real Time leads – you can choose the preferred price, volume, schedule and any other filters you want.

Leadpile- Filter your leads

Leadpile- Filter your leads

A true lead-gen platform would also enable you to filter the sources of leads (producers/lead sellers):

Leadpile - select producers of leads

No matter how small or big your company is, a true lead-gen platform would also allow you to receive the leads in your own way, that can be from the most complexed integration to the most simple delivery method, like email.

Leadpile - choose delivery settings

Of course, you need to have the freedom to receive the leads whenever you want to:

Leads Delivery - Time schedule

Also, a complete lead-gen platform would allow you to “talk” to your consumers as soon as they finish the application. That’s where the confirmation page, or redirect to your site, comes handy and really crucial when it comes to customer acquisition:

Leadpile - Confirmation page for Leads

We are sure that more lead-gen companies will come along, as they already did, following our model. That’s the beauty of this business! We are all working together and we will inspire each other in order to create a better business model for everyone. Leadpile, as the first company to launch a real integrated system for buyers and sellers of leads, will never stop to grow and improve. Out motto is and will always be: “The Impossible is our Expertise”.

We look forward to your comments and suggestions – We Need You!

Credit Card Processing!

September 03, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Lead Exchange

credit card processing Leadpile Lead Exchange needs Credit Card Processing leads. If you are generating credit card processing leads, bring them in our marketplace.  Honestly, everyday I’m having a new advertiser sign up DEMANDING this lead type. It’s the new lead type that will sell! Think about it for a quick sec…… Who in this time of age does not have a credit card? Some teens might not have one, but even they are getting them younger and younger.  It makes logical sense for every business out there to accept credit cards. What I can not believe is that many new businesses do not accept credit cards.  This could be affecting their revenue. Overall, when businesses accept credit cards, their sales should be higher.  Reality is most people would rather charge a purchase versus pay cash.
Credit Card Processing companies are really targeting these businesses that do not currently accept credit cards.  This makes perfect financial sense in the fact that the business gets the credit card machine, and the credit card processing company makes a sale!  Now evaluate all the new home based business seekers that are working from home. There are millions of them in the U.S. currently. Is it a good business decision for even these types of businesses to plan on accepting credit cards?  Possibly not, depending on the type of home based business they are doing.

Great lead type and I need leads!  We are currently generating Credit Card Processing in our lead exchange, but NOT ENOUGH to fill in our demand! If you have them………… bring them over!

The Next Lead Type For LeadPile Lead Exchange!

August 22, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Debt Settlement Leads, Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Marketplace

IRS LeadPileCurious, what’s the next category LeadPile is looking at generating?  Well, folks here you have it!  Tax Debt Leads.  Very popular, and the demand is off the charts.

The definition of this lead type is clearly back taxes. Consumers that did not file or owe a lot of many preferably in Federal taxes.  Why, the sudden demand?  For years, we have encounter consumers finding themselves in financial trouble, but the economy now is focused on people not paying taxes.  Believe me thousands of consumers owe money to the Federal system.

The downfall for thousands of people is that when you owe money to the Feds, the Federal government has the ability to start garnishment from your revenue or put liens on your property.  Not an experience you would like to encouter.  You will also be penalized and depending on the time frame owed or amount owed it can become a serious headache to deal with them, as you will be fined and some people even experience time in jail. OUCH!

LeadPile Lead Exchange will be introducing Tax Debt Lead.  We will connect the consumer that are in serious tax debt and need assistance talking to a specialist that can assist them.  Stay tune for a more firm ETA!

New Source of Revenue for Airline Industry: The Internet

August 21, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Lead Exchange, Lead Generation

The airline industry is officially getting a piece of the pie…. the “internet” pie that is. According to the Associated Press today, American Airlines is officially adding internet access to in-flight services it provides. The company that is going to get a piece of this “internet” pie is a company called Aircell LLC.
In a time when you pay for water, soda and everything in between, now you have the ability to purchase internet access for a nominal fee of $12.95. For those that are addicted to the internet, and can not stand the idea of being in flight with no internet, now have their wishes coming true. Having the ability to work while you fly is now becoming a reality for those that are willing to pay for the service. Does this mean new in-flight etiquette will be compromised by those that will be trying to access the internet? Will there be some inappropriate internet website viewing for the passenger in the next seat?
There is a side of this that is kind of crazy in a sense that people can not live without the internet. We have internet access at home, cars, on the go (on our cell phones), and now when we fly. Other Airlines will soon follow in this new service being provided to it’s passengers, however what or where else are we missing that the internet has not become a part of?
Leadpile Lead Exchange would love to have a piece of the pie with being able to have leads generated, even while consumers are in the clouds flying from destination to destination.

Advertising In A Lead Exchange!

August 12, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Marketplace, Lead Verticals

Who is still picking up the Sunday Paper?  It has some fascinating stuff like clip off coupons, find an automobile, or look for a job.  Sunday mornings, while I go for breakfast, I see the older generation reading the newspaper. Not so much the younger ones, they choose to have their laptops next to them or their iPhones.

I was reading an article today on www.investopedia.com regarding the yard-sales.  They were explaining how to set up a yard-sale and make some cash. I’m familiar with the advertisements inside a lead exchange, but this was somewhat out of the box thinking.  The article is called “In A Cash Crush? Hold A Yard Sale” by Lisa Smith.  Lisa is explaining how to advertise and how to have a successful Yard Sale by making it unique using Craigslist, or putting colorful bulletins or advertising in the newspaper.

It all comes down to: targeting the audience.  The older generation are not computer savvy, and they are not sitting on their computers as long as the younger generation, so they are better of reading the paper. Than you have some other people that are traveling a lot, they are more targeted by the bulletins. The ones hanging out in the Starbucks, with their computers, or with their web enabled phones, are going to see your ads on the web. The internet is the highest growing method of advertising, and it’s also the most targeted one. Not only that you are able to target exactly the demographics you are looking for, but you are able to track the efficiency of your campaign as never been possible before. You care see where the consumer came from, what ad they clicked on, how long they’ve been reading your page and even how long it took them to finish an online application.

After reading this article, I came to think about advertising to the leads that did not sell in our marketplace. These are mostly aged leads that were left behind because the advertisers met their caps.  They might not be of any interest to the current buyers buying real time leads, but they are a treasure to the companies interested in cherry picking their leads.  LeadPile Lead exchange has an increasing network of publishers and active verticals that is doing business in.  As the Largest Online Lead Marketplace, LeadPile Lead exchange has a good number of valuable leads that can work out for the advertisers that have small budgets, or they want to complement their current inventory of leads.

Testing out different venues of advertising or using aged leads and filtering them by the consumer initial interest, can bring some value to your current business.

Leadpile is working closely with the buyers to increase their ROI, and we are committed to your, the Advertiser, success.

Insurance anyone?

August 11, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Insurance Leads, Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Marketplace

insurance lead verticals leads Insurance anyone?Insurance leads can be so targeted.  I’m starting to think its an actual sign up versus just the contact.  Everyone needs insurance, for your car, health, life, and even home.  But the criteria that’s required can be a bit hectic.  In my view all you really need is a contact that is interested, find a solution to helping that client.  Provide a service to consumers looking for insurance.

Lets talk about car insurance for a minute.  If I can give you ten people that are truly interested in getting insurance for their car does it really matter what make and model? Are advertisers just being choosy where they can make more money or all in all, is it about helping the consumer find the services he/she needs? Let’s bring up health insurance.  Everyone needs health insurance.  When people are going online and they need an agent to assist them with more information so that a comfort zone can be built and they can understand what type of health insurance would work best for them? Is that a bad lead? No, I think not!

A lead, everyone has a different definition.  The true definition is simply a consumer that is interested in the product or service and need your help! So are leads with name, phone numbers, email, and address in a lead exchange a bad lead.  For a lesser price I actually think its a steal! Be thrilled that you can actually talk to someone on the phone. Its better than picking up the yellow pages and aiming at getting yelled at.  Contact is all you need, cross sale, offer a relative of theirs that service as well, make a quality impression that the consumer will tell their friend how helpful you were.  A lead is only as strong as the person working it!

Let’s really look into insurance, we all need it and its a necessity.  Its a healthy part of life.

Forums and the Internet Marketing

August 02, 2008 By: Eugen I. Category: Affiliate Marketing, Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Marketplace

Forums and Internet MarketingForums – a great way to learn and get to know professionals in your niche. First time I read anything on a Forum I gave up after couple of threads, because of the aggressive and “no ending” fights going on in there. Hiding yourself in the Cyber Space under different names and start attacking anyone you feel like. Well, that’s still the case even in the best forums out there, but I guess that’s what helps creating the buzz. Together with the “exciting” and really “passionate” fights, you have the chance to meet very talented professionals that love the freedom of speech, and most likely can teach you more than any of the panelists from the trade shows you are going to.

Some Forums are better than others, and I am not going to rank them here, because it’s very subjective, but for sure some can increase your level of adrenaline – WickedFire is just one example ;) . One thing I can say for sure, go out there, check them out and learn from the Pros, as you will find many of them.

Leadpile Lead Exchange (Marketplace or Affiliate Network) is definitely looking out there and learning from everyone.

I will close this post with a quote:

“The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance.” Socrates

SPAM and Email delivery – Do you copy?

July 31, 2008 By: Eugen I. Category: Affiliate Marketing, Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Marketplace

Fight SPAM and watch your In-BoxOur “normal” communication is blocked so many times when we send emails to each other, and the email has become a struggle for all of us. Not only that we need to watch for all the spam messages to see if there is anything we missed in there, but we need to watch out for what we say in the body of our email. For example, it appears that SPAM Assassin is looking inside your body for “Hey Bro”, and if they find it, you are most likely to end up in your friend’s SPAM folder. Now, how many times are we using that, or “Dear (something)”, and even “Oprah”? Gosh… this can get really crazy!

Leadpile is looking into these things and more, because we are doing everything in our power to fight SPAM and set standards inside the Lead Exchanges. We also learned to CALL every time and not rely on the email, as it can mean “loss of business”.

Lead Exchanges VS List Brokers

July 31, 2008 By: Mari Holt Category: Lead Exchange, Lead Marketplace, lead exchanges

To build your business you must come up with ways to bring in new clients, however each business will have their own “right” way of generating this new business. A few options businesses have is to work with list brokers and to work with lead exchanges.
List brokers are companies that gather data of things such as home owners, consumers information in certain geographic regions, fax numbers, email lists, businesses and many many more. These are lists of people or businesses that meet the specific requirements the business is looking for.
Lead exchanges are a common platform for buyers AND sellers of WEB based leads. These are consumers specifically looking for a particular product or service.

The biggest difference amongst these two sources, of generating business, is the consumer/business is expressing the interest in something. They are “opting in” to receive more information about the particular product or service. Things such as the Do Not Call list do not apply to these consumers that are filling out a request for information. However, list brokers are dealing with general lists and MUST be scrubbed with the Do Not Call Registry. Those that are purchasing lists for various email marketing, SMS marketing, or other advertising purposes need to make sure that they are scrubbing their lists, to prevent any penalties being enforced.

Purchasing leads that are very targeted, real time, exclusive, and consumers/businesses that are WANTING information is probably going to show more success. One is like working a “warm” lead VS a “cold” lead. Why not call someone who wanted your product or service VS trying to add the extra step of trying to hard sell a consumer, and then have to deal with a potential longer sales process?
Leadpile Lead Exchange works with intelligent advertisers who know working with high quality web based leads, produces a higher return on their investment, versus buying lists and making the “cold” calls.

online

In 2006, I took a lot of heat for predicting One Trillion Dollars in retail Online Sales by 2012.

According to Emarketer and Nielson Online, Eight out of 10 respondents who had recently made consumer electronics purchases in a brick-and-mortar store said they had visited the store’s Website first. More than one-half said they purchased from the retailer on whose Website they had spent the most time. In addition 58% of respondents said they would choose the Internet for research in purchases before they would even choose their own friends and family.

While this study reported about Electronics, it is not a far reach to think that consumer research will certainly continue to dramatically increase in years to come.

At the Leadpile Lead Exchange, we are seeing consumers’ research under-banked services at exponentially increasing rates.

Look out Trillion! Here it comes!

ConnectCommerce, Adwords and CPA

July 29, 2008 By: Eugen I. Category: Affiliate Marketing, Lead Exchange, Lead Generation, Lead Marketplace

ConnectCommerce - Google affiliate NetworkGoogle, since the acquisition of  DoubleClick, has been adding new features to it’s Adwords platform, meant to bring more value and why not “options” to their Advertisers. With their release of “Google Affiliate Network” at the end of August, we will see some interesting developments when it comes to CPA offers. Even though we know that everything comes down to an impression, click and conversions, by actually giving the option to the Buyers (Advertisers) to pay per lead (or action), you give more quality control, which can be relative to the traffic as well.

You will be still looking at competing with the CPC Advertisers and from what Google says, you will set your CPA goal and the conversion optimizer will automatically adjust the CPC to reach that goal.

One thing is for sure, Google is helping us the industry and more and more Advertisers will learn about CVR and how to use their advertising dollars efficiently. Bidding in a Lead Exchange is not too different than bidding on Adwords, your CVR and the actual rank you have in the distribution will affect your results. There is also the network and the traffic you are getting, based on your price you attract better traffic, better publishers and your CVR will increase.
